Di Bush, Ph.D. is currently VP and Head of Delivery at Generation Bio, where her research focus is on advancing the LNP delivery platform to support gene therapy through research in LNP formulation, chemistry, process, and characterization. As a member of the R&D leadership team at Generation Bio, Di also provides guidance and oversight to cross-functional teams aimed at executing research strategies to unlock the next generation of gene therapy drugs, from early discovery research to non-human primate studies. Before joining Generation Bio in 2020, she held the role of Director of the Formulations Department at Avanti Polar Lipids.
Di received her PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology from Cornell University as a member of Dr. Volker Vogt’s Lab, with a focus on understanding the drivers behind retroviral assembly and maturation. She received her B. Sc. Degree in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University. After completing her Ph.D., she spent time working on tools to assess phi29 phage assembly in Dr. Peter Prevelige’s Lab at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
