Martin is Executive Director and currently the EMEA Head of Anti-Corruption & Political Lobbying Compliance at JP Morgan Chase & Co. and has a +20 year legal, compliance & risk management career leading cross-border remediation programs, regulatory investigations, advising on emerging markets capital markets, m&a due diligence & integrations and building & mentoring teams. Holds over a decade of experience sitting on and advising global and regional risk, audit & remediation committees across global banking legal entity structures.

Former Governor, Albermarle Primary School, Wimbledon, London.

Current member of UK Finance International Anti-Corruption Steering Group. Former co-chair of UK Finance ABC Panel.

Solicitor of England & Wales (currently non-practising), MA International Relations & Political Theory, Diploma in EU Competition Law and BSC Hons in Banking & Finance.

Subject matter experience spans emerging markets, capital markets legal, antitrust, market abuse, conflicts, anti-fraud, GDPR, wrongful trading, insolvency, data analytics and building outlier expense monitoring systems & controls, corruption, privacy, FCA regulated activities, UK senior manager regime and general compliance matters covering FCA regulated firms.

Legal career from 2005 to 2012 spans emerging markets capital markets debt and equity issuance, advising Venture Capital Startups through to Listed Companies, UK insolvency litigation and board advisory/investigations, creditor committees and debt restructurings across MENAT/Russia/CIS.

Private practice career across UK and US global law firms included a 6 month client secondment to a global airline in-house legal team in London focusing on advertising/marketing compliance. 1 year Kroll 2000-2001 focusing on insolvency and asset tracing/complex fraud investigations.

Podcasts and speaking on antitrust, conduct and investigations includes (1) recording with the American Bar Association Antitrust Section Podcast with Linklaters on best practices for Antitrust Compliance programs (2017) and (2) speaking at numerous AML & ABC Conferences on Best Practices for Data Compliance & Analytics for ABC programs (2019-2025).
