Dr. Nafisa Abdullaeva Feeney serves as the Head of Legal, MLRO, and CCO at Paynt Limited, a role that caps a distinguished career in law, governance, risk management, and compliance across various global jurisdictions. With a profound expertise in financial crime prevention, Dr. Feeney is responsible for overseeing legal strategies and compliance frameworks, particularly in the dynamic sectors of finance and insurance.

Before joining Paynt Limited, Dr. Feeney was the Executive Director/CCO/MLRO at My EU Pay, where she led critical initiatives in enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance, focusing on high-risk industries including cryptocurrency and gambling. Her role involved significant board engagement, strategy formulation from a compliance perspective, and leading the compliance program implementation.

Dr. Feeney’s professional journey also includes key positions at Safenetpay Services Company Limited and StormPay, where she enhanced financial crime policies and managed comprehensive AML, CFT, and sanctions compliance frameworks. Her contributions in these roles have been pivotal in shaping robust compliance environments, reflecting her ability to adapt and lead in challenging regulatory landscapes.

Her academic background is equally impressive, holding a PhD in Law from Tashkent State Institute of Law and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Brunel University London. Dr. Feeney is an active contributor to legal scholarship with over 30 publications in the UK and Central Asia. She also brings her passion for law and education into the public sphere as the author of the leading YouTube Channel "Book Sommelier," where she reviews books and engages with British history.

Dr. Feeney’s international experience is extensive, having provided legal and policy advice in various countries and worked on projects with the UNDP, UNODC, ADB, and EuropeAid, enhancing her understanding and handling of multinational legal frameworks and corporate governance issues.
