Sinead is a 20+ years qualified practicing solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales, admitted in 2002. Sinead joined Eaton in 2014, as Ethics and Compliance Counsel, EMEA and in April 2021 moved to Regulatory & Sustainability Counsel EMEA.
As Regulatory & Sustainability Counsel EMEA she is strategic advisor on legal matters relating to Health & Safety, Environment, Global Trade Compliance, Product Stewardship and Product Compliance, Anti-Corruption & Bribery and other Regulatory matters and investigations. In her role she is supporting global efforts in Sustainability and ESG especially on Human Rights. She also completed a Certificate in Sustainability Leadership for Business, with Cambridge University, UK, last year.
Prior to Eaton, she worked for BG Group plc, a UK listed Oil & Gas Major (now part of “Shell” (Royal Dutch Shell plc)) for 19 years. Initially working in commercial roles, she moved across into their legal department in 2000 to complete her legal training qualifications and qualified in-house.
Sinead has specialist subject matter expertise in Ethics and Compliance, Investigations, Anti-Corruption, Employment, Data Protection and Privacy, Environment, Health and Safety, Human Rights Laws, Corporate Governance, Corporate & Sustainability Reporting and a variety of commercial agreements. Experience of working for a multinational firm.
Sinead is passionate about I&D and is an active advocate in her local community as well as within Eaton. Sinead volunteers as a Chair of Governors on the board of a local state primary school. Her interests include her three children, dog, a love of travel, gardening, reading, and singing. She is an active member of the Newbury Choral Society.
