João Paulo Tudela Martins is currently a Member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, S.A., serving as Chief Risk Officer and responsible for all risks across Caixa Group, Compliance, and Financial Crime.

João is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Banco Nacional Ultramarino (Macao) and Vice-Chair (Non-Executive) of the Board of Directors of Caixa Geral de Depósitos - Cape Verde.

João's academic qualifications include: the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme (2025), the Strategic Chief Sustainability Officer Program, Stanford Graduate School of Business (2024), the International Advanced Certificate in Regulatory Compliance - ICA (2022), Sustainability and Climate Risk - GARP (2021), the Stanford Executive Program (2013), a Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Finance – ISCTE Business School (2000-2001), and a Degree in Management – Universidade Católica Portuguesa (1983-1989).
