Sofie obtained a PhD in Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the VIB Center for Inflammation Research and University of Ghent (Belgium). She joined argenx in 2019 as a scientist in the R&D team where she soon became a group leader. Strengthened by a team, she identified a potential therapeutic compound applying the SIMPLE™ Antibody platform and as such became an expert in antibody engineering. Over the years she completed the different steps required to develop a therapeutic antibody, from early discovery up to CTA submission.
