Profile
Qualified in both Taiwan and the State of New York, the United States, Joyce’s practice focuses on cross-border dispute resolution, including arbitration and litigation. She has represented clients on landmark disputes involving complex commercial contracts, joint ventures, investments, M&A, banking, pharmaceuticals, energy, manufacture, commodities and construction before ICC, HKIAC, SIAC, CAA, ad hoc arbitral tribunals and Taiwan courts. She has considerable experience in coordinating legal actions in multiple jurisdictions to ensure preservation of assets and enforcement against debtors. She frequently advises foreign and local clients on contract review, negotiation and legal compliance. Many of the cases she has worked on involved claim amounts exceeding US$1 billion.
Joyce serves as the Vice-Chair of Asia Pacific at Multilaw Young Lawyers Group, the Vice-Chair of CAA 40 (Young Arbitrator Committee) and a member of the ADR Committee of Taiwan Bar Association. She is also an arbitrator at CAA and AIAC. She lectures on arbitration at CAA and the Academy of Judiciary under the Ministry of Justice of Taiwan.
Joyce is a graduate of Harvard Law School (LL.M.) and National Taiwan University (LL.B. and LL.M.). In addition to Lee and Li, she worked at a leading international law firm headquartered in New York.
