Mary has worked in commercial litigation since qualifying as a solicitor in 2009. Her practice covers a wide range of areas but Mary’s particular interests and expertise lie in civil fraud and asset tracing as well as claims against professionals in negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of trust. Mary is listed as a Global Elite Thought Leader in Who's Who Legal: Asset Recovery Global Guide 2024 and a Thought Leader in the Who's Who Legal: GIR - Asset Recovery 2024 Guide.
She also regularly acts on insolvency cases which involve fraud or dishonesty.
Mary’s clients are individuals, small and medium sized companies, trustees and professionals, including insolvency practitioners. She understands that particularly for clients who have not previously been involved in litigation, it can be a stressful and distressing process. Mary works hard to support her clients and ensures that they have a realistic view of their case, whether as claimant or defendant to enable them to make commercial and pragmatic decisions.
