Patricia Tysmans-Clemente is a Partner of the Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices and the Monitor of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. She is actively involved in criminal, civil and commercial litigation, legal audit and fraud investigation, arbitration, construction law, dispute resolution involving energy contracts and regulations, dispute resolution and corporate succession planning for family-run businesses, and estate planning.

Over the years, she has been involved in the legal audit and investigation into fraudulent/anomalous transactions involving employees of several of the largest corporations in the Philippines and has been active in prosecuting those found to be involved in these fraudulent/anomalous transactions and in recovering funds stolen from the companies. During the pandemic, she worked with the National Bureau of Investigation in investigating, and successfully prosecuting cybercrimes, committed by employees of a Business Processing Outsource company who were defrauding the company’s customers.

She served as a resource person for committees that prepared the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Philippine Alternative Dispute Resolution Act of 2004 and the Special Rules of Court on Alternative Dispute Resolution. She is a member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, a member and trained Arbitrator of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc., an active arbitrator for the National Arbitration and Mediation and an accredited construction Adjudicator.
