Rando Purba is the Founder and Senior Partner of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group at MAPS Law Firm. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia as the best graduate and valedictorian. He earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to establishing MAPS Law Firm, Rando was a Partner of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group at Lubis, Santosa & Maramis Law Firm. He is a well-seasoned litigation specialist with significant experience in virtually all types of complex commercial disputes and thus he is remarkably equipped with a holistic, sophisticated, and distinguishable legal expertise and strategic approach in the course of navigating clients to achieve their objectives.
His experience encompasses domestic and international arbitration, civil and commercial proceedings, bankruptcy and suspension of payment, antitrust and competition, administrative proceedings, employment, maritime, insurance, criminal, tax, intellectual property, and various alternative dispute resolutions as well as general corporate matters. His name and public statements have been published by major domestic and international media such as the Straits Times, Wall Street Journal, the Star, and Malaysiakini. Rando is currently serving as a Delegate of the National Committee to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR for the membership term running from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2027. He has also been recognized as one of the Indonesian Rising Stars 2024 by Asian Legal Business
