The Malaysian Department of Insolvency (MdI), under the Prime Minister’s Department, is responsible for the administration and management of insolvency matters in Malaysia.

Its core functions include administering bankruptcy estates, managing company winding-up proceedings, and handling matters relating to deregistered societies and trade unions. MdI also undertakes investigation, enforcement and insolvency status services.
