John Healy is a Managing Director in Kroll’s Restructuring practice, based in Dublin. He has more than 15 years of experience in insolvency and forensic accounting, assisting government agencies, financial institutions, law and accounting firms, and private companies with complex liquidations, receiverships, examinerships, fraud investigations, expert witness engagements, shareholder disputes, and family law cases.

John took his first insolvency appointment in 2011 and has served as Liquidator, Receiver, Examiner, or Process Advisor to more than 200 companies. He specializes in complex and challenging insolvencies and recently led a four-week reckless trading case in the High Court. As an Insolvency Practitioner, he has initiated proceedings related to director conduct, including fraudulent and reckless trading, misfeasance, improper dispositions, and applications for disqualification and restriction.

Before joining Kroll, John was a founding partner of Kirby Healy Chartered Accountants, a specialist corporate restructuring and insolvency firm based in Dublin. Prior to that, he held a management role at a Dublin-based advisory firm focused on insolvency services. Throughout his career, John has held leadership positions in forensic accounting and litigation support, frequently appearing before the courts as a liquidator or expert witness. His recent work has focused on white-collar crime, cross-border asset tracing, matrimonial cases, partnership and shareholder disputes, and derivative actions.

John’s expertise has been featured in several media outlets, including the Irish Times, Irish Independent, The Business Post, The Currency, and the Law Society Gazette, where he has been cited in coverage of high-profile insolvency cases and matters involving director misconduct. He has also presented on topics within his area of expertise to state and representative bodies.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. John is also a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and holds a Diploma in Insolvency and Corporate Restructuring.
