Chris LangfordFounding Partner at Home Technology VenturesSpeaker
Profile
Chris has "accidentally" been involved at the intersection of housing, finance, strategy and entrepreneurship for nearly two decades. He began his career as an investment banker focusing on homebuilders, building products, distribution and specialty contractors. After investment banking, Chris held several executive roles at Lowe's across business development, corporate development and corporate strategy. These roles led him to founding Lowe's Ventures, an early-stage investment arm focused on the future of homes and commerce. Lowe's Ventures was ultimately spun out to form Home Technology Ventures in 2019.
Chris serves on the selection committee of the Startup Zone for the National Association of Homebuilders, is a mentor with TechStars and has been a Grant Reviewer for NC IDEA Foundation.
Chris holds a BS in Finance and an MBA from the University of Florida. He resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife, two kids and two dogs. When he isn't advising and investing in startups, he enjoys camping, hiking, live music and collecting whiskey.
