Lisa M. McCarroll is President and CEO of Navigate Affordable Housing Partners, a Birmingham, Alabama based nonprofit with offices in Mississippi, Connecticut, and Virginia. Navigate’s mission of ensuring access to housing in safe, healthy, and revitalized communities is advanced through its work as a property owner, compliance and program management contractor at the federal and state level, and through its community development and revitalization work.

Navigate's approach to ensuring families can access housing that is affordable extends well beyond being an owner/manager. The organization’s ongoing work as a government contractor has contributed to ensuring HUD subsidized multifamily rental housing continued to be available to low-income families. While its more recent community development and revitalization work has focused on single-family workforce housing and solving for the best means of rapidly deploying homes that are affordable (construction, purchase price, and costs of owning) for regular working families.

Prior to joining Navigate, Lisa served as a sponsored research officer in higher education, and grant writer for nonprofits and government agencies helping them identify and capture funds to support activities such as faculty research, federal and state programs, scholarships, and student research.

Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts from Birmingham-Southern College (Alabama) and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her volunteer work includes serving on the board of directors for a nonprofit, a trade association, and an arts organization.
