Ari Lopes is in charge of Omdia’s Service Provider Markets Americas and EMEA teams. He is responsible for the regional research on the telecoms markets in those regions. The coverage includes in-depth analysis of service providers regional strategies, including approaches to 5G, fixed broadband, especially fiber broadband, enterprise telecoms and digital transformation. Among his latest reports it is possible to highlight the following: “Why Concentration May Be Inevitable in the Latin American Telecoms Market”; “What happened to Telefónica HISPAM, and what are the implications for Latin America?” and “Americas Telecom Market: Slowdown in Investments”.
Prior to joining the company in 2012, he worked for Google, Oi, Brasil Telecom, and Vivo.
He holds a degree in economics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a Master of Science in communications management from the University of Strathclyde.
