Dr. Manojit Basu, is the Vice President Science Policy and Regulatory Affairs at CropLife America, the U.S. national trade association representing manufacturers, formulators, and distributors of pesticides products. His primary areas of responsibility include advocating for science-based policies and regulations for approval and support of pesticide products and technologies. In his current role, Dr Basu leads CropLife America’s Scientific, Regulatory, and Environmental Sustainability initiatives.

Prior to joining CropLife America, Dr. Basu was the Vice President, Product Safety at the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) representing the food and beverage industry in Washington DC. Before GMA, Dr. Basu worked at Monsanto conducting safety reviews of biotech product. He received his B.S. in Agriculture, M.S., and Ph.D. in Molecular Biology.
