CAPT James Coburn is a Program Manager in ARPA-H's Scalable Solutions Office, focusing on medical manufacturing and supply chain resilience. On detail from the FDA's Office of the Chief Scientist, he leads efforts to advance manufacturing technologies and accelerate their adoption. He previously served as Medical Manufacturing Innovation Lead at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. A mechanical engineer by training, CAPT Coburn is a recognized expert in additive manufacturing for medical products and has deployed to disasters and outbreaks as a member of the U.S. Public Health Service.
