Kai Hoeffner is the Global Head of Process Engineering & Lab Digitalization at Sanofi, leading efforts to strengthen biopharmaceutical manufacturing through advanced analytics, modeling, and automation. With expertise in Process Analytical Technology (PAT), digital twins, and Industry 4.0, Kai accelerates innovation adoption across biologics and mRNA platforms. His work in scale-up, tech transfer, and model-based control enables faster pathways from development to commercial manufacturing. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with research experience at MIT, Max Planck Institute, and MGH.
