Praxis Bioresearch was founded in Menlo Park, CA, in December 2014 by Dr. Sandeep Patil and Mr. Rick Winningham to commercialize safe and effective treatments for unmet needs in neurological disorders. Praxis Bioresearch has synthesized and studied many different prodrug classes, successfully discovering the current lead drug development candidate PRX-P4-003, and has completed an exploratory pharmacokinetic study in humans in 2021. PRX-P4-003 is being developed as a symptomatic treatment for apathy in Alzheimer's Disease.
