Dr. Anissa Boumlic-Courtade, Head of Global Vaccine & Plasma Segments, Bioprocessing, Merck, has been with this company for 10 years and has held different technical, marketing and business development roles during this time. Dr. Boumlic is currently focusing on developing go-to-market strategies and partnering with the industry to advance manufacturing. She’s also a member of the African Vaccine Manufacturing Initiative board and is renowned in the fields of biologicals, vaccines and gene therapy. Dr. Boumlic is a biotechnology engineer by training and holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology combined with Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the Universities of Strasbourg and Thessaly.
