Yuan earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a Senior Scientist within the Cell Culture Process Development team at the Biologics CMC department of Teva Pharmaceuticals, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Over her five-year tenure at Teva, Yuan has led a team of scientists and research associates, focusing on both early- and late-stage mammalian cell culture process development for monoclonal antibody production.Yuan leads studies on optimizing cell culture processes, and cell culture media development. She possesses substantial experience in Process Characterization for cell culture and has established Control Strategies for various molecules, significantly contributing to the commercialization of biologic molecules at Teva.
