Novaseek Research CEO Kate Torchilin outlines to “The Pink Sheet” senior writer Emily Hayes the key drivers behind development of her company’s Novaseek Clinical Data Network for Research (CDNR) platform, which provides access to real-world clinical data and human biospecimens for use in trials. The tool processes clinical data in a way that is fully compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Researchers become knowledgeable about patients treated in US hospitals, helping to really inform their R&D programs and substantially improve on them, Torchilin explains. The exec also discusses the challenges of getting biospecimens and how the platform could help researchers identify the right specimens from the right patients at the right time, with the overall goal of improving R&D efficiency and productivity.
