Dr. Shahrooz Rabizadeh is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Sagittarius Bio, Inc., a groundbreaking biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of a new generation of therapies that stimulate a patient’s immune system against disease. Formerly, as the Chief Scientific Officer of ImmunityBio and other NantWorks companies, he established, operated and led multiple biotechnology companies, teams, and operations that led to the marketing authorization of the cancer diagnostic test Omics Core^TM, the commercialization of GPS Cancer^TM test for cancer treatment guidance, and ultimately, the FDA approval of Anktiva^TM, an engineered cytokine for the treatment of bladder cancer. His expertise across biologics, vaccines, small molecules, diagnostics and devices led to Board Director positions of a dozen biotechnology companies and institutions. Dr. Rabizadeh received his PhD in Neuroscience from UCLA, trained as a Runyon Postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, and served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at UCLA.
