Scientist, Purification Process Development at Sanofi

Akshat Mullerpatan obtained his Bachelors' degree in chemical engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, in 2014. After completing his PhD in chemical and biological engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he joined Sanofi (Framingham, MA) as a purification scientist in 2019. He is currently a senior scientist in Sanofi's Mammalian Platform Purification Process Development. During his tenure at Sanofi, Akshat has contributed to early and late-stage pipeline process development for rare disease programs. He has also been a part of Sanofi’s continued effort in integrated and continuous manufacturing technologies through the development of continuous inline viral inactivation and the demonstration of end-to-end continuous processing for pilot-scale batches.
