Ian has experience in drug discovery with a focus on scale up and purification, gain at Roche, CRUK, and UCB. Subsequently Ian moved into life-sciences reagent and tool manufacturing, scaling commercial processes for labelled nucleotides and nucleic acids for Illumina, and Sigma Aldrich. More recently, Ian has focussed on novel chromatography adsorbent development and process design for biologics (antibodies and proteins) and is currently designing fiber adsorbents and applications for viral vector and nucleic acid purification.
