Natalia Gomez joined Amgen’s Process Development organization in 2013. Natalia is currently the director of cell line development and genetic characterization, where she is responsible for the creation and characterization of manufacturing cell lines for Amgen Biologics. Prior to her current role, Natalia held positions at Amgen early and late stage bioprocess development teams and contributed to evaluation of cell culture processes to produce novel modalities including multi-specific monoclonal antibodies.

Prior to joining Amgen, Natalia worked at Genentech for 6 years and Astellas for 2 years developing manufacturing cell culture processes. Natalia earned a M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in Chemical Engineering, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia.
