Karen is the East Division President for Asset Living, a third party property management firm based in Houston, Texas. Karen oversees the conventional multi-family, affordable, and build-to-rent assets across ten states along the east coast and sunbelt.
Karen joined Asset Living in 2023 with more than 25 years of management experience, 20 years of that dedicated to multi-family. Her experience includes the direct management of properties ranging from lease-ups and new developments to value-add renovations in both conventional multi-family, age-targeted, age-restricted, and build-to-rent. In her role, Karen assists clients in pre-development services, facilitating design and marketing, in addition to on-site operations of active communities. She has extensive knowledge in the Sunbelt, Mid-Atlantic, Florida, and several Mid-West markets.
Karen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Administration with an emphasis in Business Management from Georgia Southern University. She is an Executive Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Karen is also a member of the National Apartment Association, the Atlanta Apartment Association, and the National Association of Realtors. She has served on the Board of Directors for the IREM Georgia Chapter since 2015 and served as the IREM Georgia Chapter President in 2022. Currently, Karen also serves on the Ethics Inquiry Panel for IREM Headquarters. Karen was a 2022 recipient of the J. Wallace Paletou that is awarded by the IREM Foundation for significant contributions to the Real Estate Industry.
