Can biology, even drug discovery, be “clouded"? It's early but Andreessen Horowitz VC thinks so

Digital health is not just a buzzword in the life science industry; it is an innovative, potentially disruptive, health paradigm that is gaining momentum. At Digital Health Showcase in January, CBT AdvisorsSteve Dickman met with Vijay Pande of Andreessen Horowitz, a renowned professor formerly at Stanford University, for a Fireside Chat. According to Pande, disruption doesn’t necessarily mean displacement.

In the Forbes article published yesterday, “Andreessen Horowitz Wants to Bring Biology to the Cloud,” Dickman expands on his interview with Pande, and the recent formation by Andreessen Horowitz of a USD 200 million fund to invest in three areas of software defined as digital therapeutics; machine learning in medicine; and cloud biology.
