Eduardo has been involved in EPPA both in legislative advocacy engagement as well as in regulatory advocacy campaigns in support of major active substances used in Plant Protection Products and in Biocides. Among the major legislative dossiers that Eduardo has been involved at are the reform of the General Food Law Regulation, the Review of the Biocides Products Regulation, the reform of the Fertilizers Regulation, review of the Common Agricultural Policy, or the review of the Plant Protection Products Regulation, among others. In the field of regulator advocacy, Eduardo has sucesfully defended more than 30 crop protection actives and more than 15 biocidal substances for its approval at EU level, fostering pan European alignment between public authorities concerns and socio economic needs of EU society.
Before joining EPPA in 2010, Eduardo worked at the Spanish Permanent Delegation to UNESCO, where he acted as advisor to the Spanish Ambassador. Eduardo holds a master’s degree in EU Diplomacy and International Relations from the College of Europe (Bruges), and a master's degree in Political and Administrative Sciences from University CEU Cardenal Herrera of Valencia.
