Poppy Proborespati leads the UK Client Asset Protection practice at Forvis Mazars, with over 20 years of experience in financial services. Since joining Forvis Mazars in May 2022, she has leveraged her expertise in CASS and Safeguarding Regulations from her previous firm. Poppy has spearheaded numerous projects, offering advisory, assurance, and internal audit services to ensure compliance with CASS rules at UK global retail and investment banks, wealth and asset management firms, and Safeguarding Regulations at major UK and US payment services and e-money providers.

She heads the CASS and Safeguarding SME team, responsible for updating and maintaining training materials and the audit programme to support adherence to FCA CASS and Safeguarding rules and Assurance Standards, as well as the compliance work programme for E-Money and Payment Services regulations. Additionally, Poppy oversees financial statement audits under UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS across various sectors, including broker/dealer, universal bank, investment bank, wealth and asset management, corporate treasury, asset finance, market infrastructure (exchange and clearing house), and credit rating agencies.
