Thomas, a Director in Deloitte’s Client Assets & Safeguarding Audit & Assurance team, is a leading expert in CASS and Safeguarding. He spearheads Deloitte’s Safeguarding propositions and has extensive experience leading complex CASS & Safeguarding audit and assurance engagements for a range of clients including leading on CASS 15 / 10A gap analysis engagements. His experience extends to external CASS & Safeguarding audits, second line compliance, internal audit, training, review and recommend assurance and ISAE3000 (controls) standards-based SOC reporting. Thomas also leads Deloitte’s broader Payments Assurance practice. Previous to joining Deloitte in 2016, Thomas worked in industry for over 5 years, including at a firm that went insolvent – giving Thomas first hand real life experience of the importance of client asset protection upon insolvency.
