Originally qualified as a competition lawyer; Bethan has spent over ten years at the Competition and Markets Authority, working predominantly on investigations into suspected anti-competitive conduct and market investigations. Bethan’s recent focus has been competition in digital markets; currently leading the CMA’s work in the mobile sector as a Director in the CMA’s Digital Markets Unit. Bethan also spent time at the UK’s Digital Regulation Co-operation Forum (comprising the CMA, ICO, Ofcom and FCA), as Interim Chief Executive and Director of Projects.
