Profile
Prof. Dr. Thomas Weck is Associate Professor for Public Law, Regulatory Law and Comparative Law at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and at the Frankfurt Competence Centre for German and Global Regulation (FCCR). He was previously staff of the Monopolies Commission in Bonn (2012-2022), a public body advising the German government and legislature on matters of competition policy and regulation. Before that, he had worked at a British and an American law firm in Brussels (2007 to end 2012). His current work focuses on competition and financial markets regulation, particularly on the regulatory responses to data-related market power and novel types of risk. He is a Member of the Academic Society for Competition Law.
