Mrs Tuğçe SAYER is as of October 2022 the Head of 1^st Supervision and Enforcement Department. The main task of the Department is to apply and enforce the Turkish Competition Law, with a view to protecting competition in sectors such as information technologies and platform services, media, advertising and publishing.

Before taking up this position, Mrs Sayer served as Deputy Head of 1^st Supervision and Enforcement Department for 2 years. After joining the Turkish Competition Authority as a Competition Expert in 2009, she held a series of antitrust and merger case-handling and policy posts.

Mrs Sayer graduated in Law, and holds two Master’s degrees in Law and Economics and Competition Law.
