Dr. Ling Ling Ang is a Managing Director at NERA Economic Consulting based in Washington, DC. She is an economic expert witness specializing in the economics of consumer financial services, antitrust, consumer protection, labor, and banking. She applies economic and econometric analysis in litigation, regulatory, and compliance matters. Dr. Ang has testified or submitted reports in matters in federal, state, and administrative law court, consulted on Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (“CFPB”), prudential regulator, and FTC investigations, and advised clients on consumer financial services compliance issues. Clients value her creative, rigorous, and practical approach, which draws on techniques from various practice areas and fields of economics. Dr. Ang previously worked as an economist at the CFPB and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. At the CFPB, Dr. Ang served as the lead economist on various rulemakings and policy projects. Dr. Ang is a frequent speaker and author on financial services and antitrust issues and leads NERA’s internal Digital Antitrust Collaboration Initiative. Dr. Ang earned her PhD and MA in economics from Princeton University and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics from Loyola University Chicago.
