Paolo Siciliani is a senior competition expert and researcher at the Bank of England, he is based in London. Previously, he was chief economist at the BBC Trust, economic adviser at the Office of Fair Trading (the predecessor of the CMA), regulatory economist at Vodafone Group and economic consultant at LEAR. Besides publishing a number of peer-reviewed academic articles on competition law and economics, Paolo co-authored the text-book ‘Cases and Materials on Competition Law’’ with Ioannis Lianos and the late Valentine Korah. Paolo graduated from Bocconi University in business administration, holds a postgraduate master degree in economics and finance from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and completed a PhD in laws at University College London.
