Simon Burden is head of EU and competition law at Natwest Bank. Simon has 16 years of experience across all aspects of competition law, including merger control, market investigations, cartel investigations, and litigation. He has experience in private practice (Norton Rose Fulbright), competition authorities (the CMA), and in the banking (HSBC and Natwest) and telecoms (Vodafone) industries. As part of his role at Natwest, Simon has oversight of the management of the direct and indirect FDI (particularly UK NSI Act) compliance risks that Natwest manages, as a financial institution.
