Djemila is the global Head of Antitrust - Litigation & Investigations at Novartis International AG (headquarters) and is based in Switzerland. She has extensive experience in all aspects of competition law matters, including investigations, litigation, M&A, divestments, BD&L deals, and in compliance matters.

Previously, Djemila served as Director at a compliance consulting firm, advising on competition law, and as Group Senior Legal Counsel Antitrust at ABB Asea Brown Boveri in Zurich. Before that, she worked in private practice as an associate at the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Brussels, where she advised on a wide range of international antitrust and M&A cases. In 2009-2010, Djemila was seconded to Emirates as Group Antitrust Counsel in Dubai.

She also worked at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission (merger unit) and at the French Ministry of Economy (European merger unit).

Djemila graduated in Business Law & Economics from the University of Paris 1 - La Sorbonne. She works in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. Djemila regularly speaks at various antitrust events and conferences across the globe and is the Co-founder and Board member of Women AT Competition Switzerland.
