Lourenço currently acts as a Senior Director for competition enforcement at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). He rejoined the CMA in 2025 after almost 2.5 years at DG Competition (European Commission) in the pharma antitrust unit. Prior to that he held a number of different roles at the CMA and the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), which he joined in 2012 from private practice after 7 years at the international law firms Garrigues and CMS.
