Sara graduated with a first class degree in molecular biology then completed a fast-track law conversion course to complete her legal education. She qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales at the prestigious London firm Slaughter and May and in 2009 moved to Brussels to focus on EU competition law first at Howrey, then moving with the team to Shearman & Sterling where she worked as associate from 2011 – 2016 and then as counsel from 2019 - 2021. From 2016 – 2019 and again from 2021, Sara has worked in the telecoms, technology and IT merger unit at DG COMP where she has helped lead multiple complex and high-profile investigations across a range of industries.
