Sara graduated with a first-class degree in molecular biology followed by a fast-track law conversion course to complete her legal education. She qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales at the prestigious London law firm Slaughter and May and in 2009, moved to Brussels to focus on EU competition law at Howrey, then moving with the team to Shearman & Sterling. Sara has worked at the European Commission for 6 years, now as the deputy head of the unit responsible for mergers in the financial, pharmaceutical and chemicals sector.
