Sara Ashall is deputy head of the DG Competition unit responsible for merger control in the pharmaceutical, chemical and the financial services industries (D4). Prior to working at the Commission, she worked as a counsel in the Antitrust practice of Shearman & Sterling focussing on EU merger control, cartel investigations and antitrust proceedings.
