Astrid S. Brunt, born in Norway in 1963, is the general counsel for international and European affairs at Statnett, the Norwegian Transmission System Operator for electricity. She graduated from the University of Bergen’s law faculty in 1988 and has held various legal roles in the energy sector, including general counsel at Statnett from 2000 to 2015. She completed a Master of Technology Management at NTNU/MIT in 2017 and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Bergen, focusing on short-term electricity markets.
