Eirikur Hauksson is currently the General Counsel of Síminn hf. (Iceland Telecom) a telecommunication and media company in Iceland. Eirikur joined Síminn in 2011 and took over the role of General Counsel in 2014. During his time at Síminn he has been involved in various cases relating to competition law regarding the telecommunication and media markets. Prior to joining Síminn, Eirikur worked at LOGOS legal services a leading law firm in Iceland, whereby his main tasks related to competition law, as well as IP law rights. Eirikur holds a Cand. Jur. from the University of Iceland as well as MA in Economics for Competition Law from King's College London.
