Erik Brändt Öfverholm is the Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs at DLA Piper, specializing in competition law and foreign direct investment (FDI) screening.

With a strong international profile, Erik has extensive experience handling cross-border competition matters, including multi-jurisdictional mergers, cartel investigations, and abuse of dominance cases. He regularly advises clients on complex regulatory issues spanning multiple jurisdictions and has been involved in important competition and FDI matters in Sweden and globally.

Before joining DLA Piper, Erik led the competition practice at another international law firm in Stockholm. He also has a background at the Swedish Competition Authority.
