Jenni Heurlin

Jenni is a partner and head of EU & Competition team at Borenius. She advises clients on all aspects of EU and Finnish competition law, including merger control, compliance, investigations, proceedings before competition authorities and courts, and state aid. She also counsels companies on a wide range of regulatory issues related to regulated markets, such as energy and telecoms, as well as on foreign direct investment (FDI) screening and the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR). Jenni has extensive experience working with clients across a wide variety of industries, and in recent years, she has been involved in several high-profile merger control, competition law advisory, and state aid cases in Finland.

Prior to joining Borenius, Jenni worked at another Finnish law firm for several years. Jenni has also gained in-house counsel experience in competition law matters and the execution of competition law compliance programmes in a major listed trading sector company.

Alongside her law degree, Jenni holds a master’s degree in economics. Jenni is a former chair and current board member of the Finnish Competition Law Association, a member of the Finnish Bar Association’s competition law expert group, and a Non-Governmental Advisor, appointed by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority, to the International Competition Network’s Merger Working Group.
