Maria Ulfvensjö Baltatzis is Head of Unit at the Swedish Competition Authority (SCA), with strategic responsibility for merger control. Maria has long experience from competition enforcement matters, primarily merger investigations, at the SCA. Before joining the SCA in 2000, Maria worked in the private business, managing regulatory affairs connected to the deregulation of the Swedish telecommunications sector. Maria graduated in Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics in 1986 and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in EC Competition Law from King’s College London.
