Marte Fisknes is an in-house legal counsel at Posten Bring, a leading Nordic logistics company and the incumbent postal operator in Norway. Marte’s main areas of expertise include competition law, sectoral regulation, administrative law and dispute resolution.

Marte has a varied professional background largely centred around general and sector-specific competition matters. She has previously worked as a competition lawyer at BAHR law firm and a senior advisor at the Norwegian Railway Authority, Department for Market Surveillance. Prior to joining Posten Bring, she also served as a deputy judge at Buskerud District Court.

Since 2021, Marte has been part of the legal team behind Posten Bring’s suit for damages against five participants in the EU trucks cartel. While the claim was initially dismissed by the Oslo District Court in 2023, Posten Bring was subsequently awarded substantial damages by the Borgarting Court of Appeal in March 2025. The appeal court’s judgment became final in September 2025, as the defendants were refused leave to appeal to the Supreme Court. The case represents the first follow-on action of its kind in Norway.
