Pinelopi is a policy officer at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition (DG COMP), where she currently forms part of the team in charge of antitrust enforcement policy and case support. She previously spent four years with the team dealing with antitrust enforcement in the pharmaceutical sector. Before joining DG COMP, Pinelopi worked as a competition lawyer at a leading international law firm in Brussels. During that time, she advised on landmark merger control and State aid cases and she also represented clients before the Court of Justice of the EU. As a private practitioner, Pinelopi has also worked at the global legal department of a multinational company in Switzerland, alongside the Head of competition law. Before starting her career as a lawyer, Pinelopi studied at the College of Europe in Bruges.
