Teresa Vecchi is Head of Unit at the European Commission’s DG Competition, managing merger cases in the sectors of consumer goods, basic industries and manufacturing. Teresa has extensive experience as a competition lawyer at the European Commission, having also been a member of the competition team of the Legal Service for many years. In 2020 she was responsible for the negotiation of the Level Playing Field Title of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement. Before joining the European Commission, Teresa was a competition lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. She holds an LLM from Harvard Law School with focus on competition law.
