Alexandra Koutoglidou is currently the Head of Unit of the European Commission DG Trade and Economic Security Unit on Economic Security Tools 1: FDI Screening, Outbound investment and Anti-coercion. She holds a PhD in International Investment Dispute Settlement and has in the past worked in the Trade in Services and the Investment Units of DG Trade as well as with the European Parliament. As a deputy Head of Unit in the Legal Unit of DG Trade, she has participated in numerous EU trade and investment negotiations, including with the UK, China, Mercosur and most recently India, as well as in trade dispute settlement cases under EU FTAs and in the WTO.
