Matthew O’Regan is a barrister and a member of Matrix Chambers. He has a broad practice, focused on all aspects competition law, economic regulation and subsidy control, including disputes and litigation before the Competition Appeal Tribunal and High Court, investigations by the CMA and other regulators and wide range of advisory matters. He acts for clients in both the public and private sectors, including major UK companies and multinational businesses, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, charities, government departments and local authorities. Before being called to the Bar in 2015, Matthew practised as a solicitor with leading firms in London, Brussels (where he worked for over a decade in a leading international law firm) and Bristol (where he was a partner in a leading national firm). He is an editor of Chitty on Contracts and the Competition Law Journal, and was educated at the Universities of Nottingham and Amsterdam.
